Customer complained of poor spindle life from the OEM spindles. We determined that coolant was entering the spindle and washing the grease from the bearings.

We were able to improve the sealing properties of the spindle to help with the failures. Even though the cost for the repairs was close to the cost of replacement we have extended the spindle life, decreased machine downtime and maintenance has one less headache to deal with.
