This spindle came in with rear roller contamination, possibly from loosing preload. It appears the rear nut capturing the rear roller bearing had loosened during operation causing lack of preload. We replaced the bearings, made a new collet adaptor spacer as well as two new locking screws. The preload was adjusted, the spindle balanced assembled and broke in. The spindle was then thoroughly checked in our QC department and shipped back to the customer.

Northland Tool & Electronics rebuilt this entire assembly for our customer. We were able to solve part finish issues they were having in their production runs. Careful attention was payed to the shaft run outs and the collet clamping system. We also worked with our customer on installation and removal techniques that will help the spindle to run accurately.
