    The spindle taper was rough and only had 35% contact. The bearings had past their usable lifespan.
    We kiss ground the taper on our Kellenburger, replaced the bearings, rebuilt the spindle, test ran and balanced. We were able to obtain 90% taper contact and less than 1 micron run out.
