Boneham & Turner spindles are one of the workhorse spindles of the industry. They do not come with many bells and whistles. They are made for industries that require a low cost spindle in their manufacturing process. We have been able to improve the original design of some of the Boneham spindles to provide better contamination prevention and performance. These improvements ultimately lead to longer spindle life.

Repair History
Boneham and Turner MGS952AM
3600 rpm
When we received this stator driven, grease lubrication 3600 rpm spindle it was contaminated with oil. The front seal wore allowing cutting oil into the spindle. The shaft taper was measured and we found 10 microns of run out. The spindle would need the bearings and seal replaced. We would have to kiss grind the shaft taper to bring it back to ISO specifications. The outgoing report from our rebuild technician shows that the spindle shipped with less than 1 micron of run out and at the maximum rpm the spindle vibration analysis was very good. This spindle shipped back to the customer two days after it was received in.
