Bostomatic
This spindle served its time well. Eventually it did wear out and contamination caused front bearing failure. Due to its years of service we found fretting of the front housing & front shaft journal that required grind plate grind. We were able to bring all parts back to OEM specifications and rebuild the spindle. It is currently in the machine ready to run another 20 years.

Thru tool coolant
We were able to determine that the rotary unions were leaking coolant into the rear of the spindle causing the grease to wash out of the bearings. Before Northland Tool was contacted another rebuilder was rebuilding the spindles at the time but did not furnish this company with the cause of failure. After 4 rebuilds this company called Northland Tool and we were able to correct the rotory union issue and save our customer from further failures and unneeded expenses.
