Component Balancing
Component Balancing is the first step in the spindle balancing procedure. Northand Tool & Electronics uses several types of balancing equipment for component balancing. We start by balancing the spindle shaft without its external parts. This is what separates Northland Tool & Electronics from companies that are not equipped to repair spindles properly. If your spindle is not component balanced you may experience:
- Vibration during operation
- Poor part finish
- Decreased bearing life
- Decreased tool life
- You will see large amounts of material being removed during the trim balancing procedure. This is usually seen on the spindle nuts, shaft and pulleys. It looks terrible and you may be compensating for shaft imbalance with external parts. If you need to change the pulley the balance may fall far outside the acceptable tolerances.
