Drawbar Wear

This drawbar has reached the end of its expected cycle lifespan. The groves you see are from the Belleville washers wearing the shaft during the drawbar compression cycle of the tool change.

There are two accepted ways to fix this problem:

One is that you can replace the drawbar. This means that a new drawbar can be ordered from the OEM. We can also manufacture a new drawbar in our machine shop. The second option is a Grind Plate Grind. Drawbars can be ground plate ground to remove the wear damage.
