Hurco TM6 Spindle Repair
The Hurco TM6 is a compact CNC turning center. It can come fitted with this grease lubricated and belt driven spindle capable of running up to 6,000 rpm.
This Hurco TM6 spindle was very difficult to spin by hand incoming. After completing a full breakdown and evaluation, we noted that the interior of the spindle was contaminated by oil and particulate. All of the bearings were heavily contaminated and felt very poor when spun by hand. There were no dimensional deviations to note for this repair.
The following actions were performed on this YCM NSV 106AS spindle:
- Clean, inspect overall dimensions
- Replace bearings, bolts, and o-rings
After reassembly of all components, adjusting bearing preload, and undergoing break-in and testing procedures, this spindle passed our final quality inspection before being returned to our customer with a 1-year warranty.
