Thank You! For helping us with our spindle. We greatly appreciate you and your companies service. I anticipated mid-next week for completion but you far exceeded that.
Possible cause of failure:
Bearings feel rough and grease is contaminated.
Drawbar was stuck incoming, it had to be removed and cleaned to get force.
Gripper fingers have wear.
Taper has wear marks.
Drive dog’s have light wear (we’ll use as is)
Customer supplied a new rotary union assembly, and tooling.
Clean, inspect overall dimensions.
Replace bearings, belleveilles, grippers, screws, orings and rear shaft nut.
Kiss grind the 50 taper.
Adjust preload, balance, assemble and break in. Final quality control inspection.
