This spindle was sent to us by a machine tool repair company in Canada who was doing on site service to a Mazak Quick turn machine. We have several relationships with independent repair professionals because we provide them with quality repairs that they know will be backed by us. This particular repair needed to be rushed for their customer. We worked closely with the repair company on the logistics of delivery and shipping. To expedite the delivery our customer crossed the boarder and hand carried the spindle to the end user. He was impressed by our facility and has sent several more spindles to Northland Tool in the recent months. If you are in Quebec and need service we would be happy to refer them. They worked hard to meet the end users needs!
Possible cause of failure:
Bearings worn from years of use
Taper face damaged from chuck removal
Clean, inspect overall dimensions.
