Schneider CCP Swift Spindle Repair
The Schneider CCP Swift spindle is grease lubricated, pulley driven, and capable of running up to 750 rpm. This spindle is used in the optical polishing industry for precision lens manufacturing.
This Schneider CCP Swift spindle arrived at our facility for a full breakdown and evaluation. Upon inspection, we noted that the spindle was heavily contaminated with polishing slurry. The graphite piston was destroyed and would no longer allow proper actuation. No dimensional deviations were noted for this repair.
The following actions were performed on this Schneider CCP Swift spindle:
- Clean, inspect overall dimensions
- Replace bolts, o-rings, bearings, seals, and graphite piston
After reassembly of all components, adjusting bearing preload, and undergoing break-in and testing procedures, this spindle passed our final quality inspection before being returned to our customer with a 1-year warranty.
